new bottle pickups

Over the weekend I stopped by a friends house to buy bottles for resale. I ended up getting new bottles for my collection and about 100 common patent and prescription medicine bottles that will be for sale in Ocean Grove. Here are the finds for my collection. 2 peppersauces and a Morton Got one...

Thanks Red and I might be selling some other stuff. I was thinking the same thing cowseatmaize. Would be a pretty lousy Oktoberfest with that diminutive mug!

Back in the saddle --- Three pits down 3 to go. Plus a cistern and a crawl space.

Nice finds Rick, especially the cobalt blue porters and seitz sided squat.

Yard sale find, Jersey City Hutch

It's a hutch shaped blob, most likely used for ginger ale. Nice yard sale find!

Ocean Grove Flea Finds

Thanks sunrunner, Bass Assassin, and mr.bottle! The Kinkle was a very nice find, shaking hands embossed on the front with the original closure to boot.

Post your citrate bottles!

Very nice citrates everyone! Here are 2 of the rarest bottles I have. These citrate bottles are almost impossible to find.The Sea Bright one I acquired through some high level trading with a good friend of mine, while the Stewart was a bottle show find a few years ago.

Thanks Red! Some very good information there on 3 piece mold bottles! As far as uniform in thickness, I've noticed out of all the bottles I have, the most invariable bottles as far as thickness goes are hutter blobs. Very little changes texture wise, but other smaller glass companies that...

John Lumb and Co - Help needed.

1st dig of spring yielded a cool veterinarian bottle...and a newark

Citrate of magnesias always have a short and perfectly round shape as well as a signature double collar lip. They also almost always have the decoration around the pharmacy name. The one in the middle is an example of an unmistakable citrate of magnesia.

That's a nice NJ citrate of magnesia! Not listed on the NJ bottle forum but that's not saying much because Newark probably had hundreds of druggists, most are undiscovered.

Thanks Kor and Scott! As far as bottles go I like anything from Long Branch, Asbury Park, or Belmar NJ, as well as any NJ blob tops that catch my eye. The genesee beer is a fairly rare one! And camden bottles are a little hard to judge the rarity because of the sheer number of bottlers from...

Tylersport Bottle show finds

I came to the show with one goal in mind, and that was to trade for NJ blob tops. I entered the show with a box filled with meds, milks, and paper documents. I left the show with a box half full of blobs and most of the stuff that I brought so I considered it a very sucessful trip! Charles Hauck...
