    I need advice.

    I use a old tooth brush,and a steel extention to lengthen rod (like a part of a cloth hanger) and then scrub the insides of the bottle to get the excess dirt off the insides.Yes use dish soap to losson up the dirt.

    Antique bottle fitted into a small metal box (? related to tobacco ?)

    I wonder if the bottom of the metal box is missing? With the green color it looks to be a army box!.What's bottle in it could be anything? Unless you can get the stuck bottle unstuck from the top of the case you might never know for sure.You never know either you can find it on the internet.

    The reason for the "bottle not to be sold or never sold" embossed on the bottle is that the bottle had to be returned to the place they bought it from.The.Company's wanted to keep down the manufacturing prices on the bottles.(no there wasn't any deposit money back bottle then.)

    Most bottles that are 100 years old is consirded an "antique bottle! So any early 20th. century is and antique.All pre-1900 bottles are certainly antique!The only exception are reproductions.
