I think I just got granted another wish from my Genie. I have
been looking for a pair of flat front denim chinos...not the
super stretch old timer jeans from Sprawlmart either. I had
a pair of those once but gave them away when the cashier,
a large ball shaped lady, was sporting a pair. Nope, and to
add to my frustration, they were on the stockist for USA
Dickies, but sold out within minutes of being posted. Since I
retired, Dickies have been my go to brand. I used to wear
Carhartt, as I was continually visiting clients on industrial sites,
but now that is just overkill (and more expensive).
The US site has many more varieties than our Canadian site,
so as to avoid missing out the next time, I sent their customer
service department an inquiry. That was last night. I guess it
was a formal request; a wish if you believe in that sort of thing.
Got up at the usual time and checked my email etc. Popped
over to FeeBay to see what was new...a pair of flat front denim
chinos made by Dickies in my size appeared overnight. Hmmm.
Did I buy them? You betcha! The shipping was actually cheaper
than the bottles etc. that I have purchased over the years, and
the jeans were about 20% cheaper than USA Dickies short lived
offer.
