[8|] Well, I aint gonna be much help but it it a crown top and appears to be beer or ale. Considering the patriotism and style of the label, Matha Washington /True Blue, I would place it around WWI era. 1917, into the mid 1920's. The bottle itself has little value, but the label is the prize here. Don't try to clean the label! Posting the additional info/wording for us from the label might help further identify it.

It's amazing what realy went into bottles that we all call beer or soda bottles, most of them as Harry wrote where probably "borrowed" by the company that put things like blueing in them. I dug a little bottle last week with the imbossing ground off, so some companys went to a bit of trouble to steal them. I don't know if I would drink/eat something from a company that was so tight that they did that [] .
yes i tend to agree with irish i have found a few with the company name ground off so i guess it would not stop them from changing labels . here is a pic of a common pick me up sauce i found with the name ground off []
