Picked this up from a Shop in Saratoga NY,Paid a good amount...

Base has E B & Co Ld 1886
Ribbed top bubble,Diamond Pattern On Bottom bubble....
Very Large and heavy glass
seam goes about alittle under a inch from the top/

I have had to ask my auction guy and he dosent know either,I figured it would be a Decanter or Somthing along the lines of a hybrid flask/decanter...

WhiteLightning,(or IS it WhiteLighting?)
How big is this bottle? You say you think it may be a decanter? The pattern is either a pineapple which was used on bitters, liquers, and,I believe, port wine;or more likely,(I THINK[:)]) a Scottish thistle, which would definately suggest Scotch Whisky.Any measurements for us?

Pretty bottle,by the way!

sure here ya go:
Height: about 8 3/4 tall
Width of ribbed bubble: 1 1/2 feet on the dot! "FATTY!"
Width of bottom diamond bubble: 1 1/2 also...
Middle: 9 3/4"
Base: About 2 3/4 ---small for such a large and heavy piece
Ribbs on top:40

weight: Id say 1 1/2 LBS.....

Forgot to mention
above the ribbed pattern theres small nitchs like knife punctures if you were making the bottle and put abit of style in it.............

lots of bubbles, also it didnt show up in alot of the pics it put on this site and a emai I sent to a auctioneer, but its kinda greenish blue when you have the right angle and lighting,so clearish aqua........

Bit under a quart would be a fifth! And those 'knife' marks on the shoulder suggest the flower tip of the thistle.99% sure you have a scotch bottle there.Forum member David E. is one the best when it comes to maker's marks.Once he gets on to this he can probably tell us who 'E B& Co.' were and possibly the distiller.I strongly suspect that this is a commerative bottle of some sort-eg. Limited edition 20 year old scotch or the like.

Best I can do for now,

Hmmmmm, cool at least I can sorta catogorize it......
But the bottle is to crude to be a post 1900 item, due to the off set lip and other imperfections, plus It was from a old house in Saratoga NY,which auctioned off thier wares before demo,VERY VERY PRODOMINET PEOPLE,BIG HOUSES-if ya know what i mean...lol
!!but in todays market you never know, atleast it isint a wheaton!lol.....
I do thank u though!keep in touch
