The Lions Beverages, featuring two of the most iconic peaks in Canada.
Named after Vancouver's famous Lions peaks on the North shore mountains of British Columbia. Most people don't know the real story behind them. Pauline Johnston wrote a poem The Two Sisters, after being told the legend by Chief Joe Capilano.
Also known by the Squamish First Nation as Ch'ích'iyúy Elxwíkn which translates to Two Sisters.
That title has a beautiful story based on two Squamish sisters that married Haida twins, they brought together the warring tribes to create peace and brotherhood.
But there is a couple more in-depth versions of how its told.
I'll post a video link for anyone interested to hear the story.
Sometimes there's so much more to a name!
This 11oz bottle was the last one produced for them before being bought out by Pepsi-Cola in 1952.

The Hidden Story Behind Vancouver's Twin Peaks — CANADIANA web series
The Lions are two of the most iconic mountain peaks in Canada, towering over Vancouver, lending their name to the B.C. Lions, the Lionsgate Bridge and more. But they also have a much, much older name; one that’s tied to a time long before the city was founded.
