Always looking for new places to explore & hunt, thus I tried an area that was first settled in 1894. The bottom was very rocky - large boulders with course sand in between, while closer to shore the earthen runoff started to build up. Best find was an 1880's-ish black glass bottle, embossed with: "Wilson's Invalid's Port Wine" - what, exactly, constituted an 'invalid' in those times I'm not sure, but one manufacturer was kind enough to provide them their very own brand of Port! En route home, I stopped at an antique mart & found a nice bottle from Ottawa. Happy summer all!
