Howdy! First-time poster here. I apologize for my ignorance, but are these called "Hutchinson bottles", or are they something else and just happen to have Hutchinson, KS on the bottom?

Can anyone help me with values?

They have identical markings, except the clear one has ""3834A" at the bottom, while the green one has "3834".

What does "ROOT" mean?

I got these in an auction lot for $2, along with some other bottles.

Thanks a bunch!

Chris

Welcome to the forum! These aren't Hutchinson bottles, Hutchinson bottles have nothing to do with Hutchinson, Kansas.
This is a Hutchinson bottle, the name refers to the inventor of the type of closure used on these:

Yours are referred to as crown top sodas. They aren't really Coca Cola bottles either, because they would have been used for other products bottled by the local Coke franchise but not Coca Cola itself.
Value probably isn't all that much, this sort of bottle typically seems to sell in the $5-20 range. It'll depend on rarity and how many Kansas collectors are looking for 1930s soda bottles.
ROOT refers to the Root Glass Company, a major manufacturer of Coca Cola and other types of soda bottles: https://sha.org/bottle/pdffiles/RootGlass.pdf

Thanks for the excellent information! I'll put them in our flea market booth with $15 on 'em. Maybe the local factor will help them sell (we're not too far from Hutchinson, KS).

Cheers!
