A Blue Torpedo bottle with Writing

Hello Smart Ones...

I can't find any information on this bottle. It measures 8 3/4" long, widest diameter at 2 3/4". A deep blue color. It is written across the surface: THIS BOTTLE MUST
BE RETURNED TO
S. BERNSTEIN

It appears to be a "torpedo" shape, likely hand blown in excellent condition except for the chipping around the rim.

As suggested in the link provided by UncleBruce your bottle is of UK manufacture but used in Belize.

Simon Bernstein appears to have had a number of business interests in Belize City which were certainly well established by 1882.
Here are a series of digital cuttings which are all from the Colonial Guardian newspaper which was published in Belize.

This first one was published on the 17th June 1882

This next one was published on the 26th May 1882.

The next notice which was published on the 10th November 1883 shows that Simon Bernstein had died at sometime before that date.

This last notice provides confirmation that his first name was Simon, all the other references just refer to him as S. Bernstein.
