Amber No Deposit No Return 10 oz bottle

found this bottle a couple weeks ago in the woods when poking around an old site to see if i missed anything . i also found a coca cola flat top can but haven't posted it or even tried to clean it with anything


obviously if it was clear or green wouldn't though anything of it as there is no embossing or way to identify bottler but amber i haven't found one like it before

but assuming its for ginger beer or root beer ? maybe canada dry . appears to look similar to the no deposit bottles they used that had paper labels

only writing on it says " 10 fl oz , no deposit , no return " and " not to be refilled " on bottom

It looks like a stubby beer bottle to me. I find tons of those. It would have had a label on it, but I never find any with labels.

It would have a date code where that makers mark is near the bottom. I can't make it out in the picture, but it's probably 70s.

This is the exact same shape and size, with similar embossing to the standard 10 FL OZ Pepsi's that I can often find in rivers around here. They generally date from the 1970s. I assume this is one of Pepsi's other brands like you though - maybe a root beer or ginger ale. I'm not sure what was in Pepsi's portfolio by the 70s.

Your right it does look like a Ginger Beer. It looks just like a beer bottle too, but it's not quite the same.

Definitely for Canada Dry ginger beer, but it's also seen in a green bottle. Schweppes also had an amber, as did Crush, but those were both embossed.

its not a beer bottle but yes is many amber beer bottles and some look similar ,

this style of bottle used for pop in the 60's - 70's

thats what i was thinking , odd i've never found one till now , think it would be a bit more common to find
