Hi,
I just got 6 boxes of bottles from a friend's trust that I am going to clean. How long did it take to clean that one bottle?
New to old bottles.

Hi Katydave,
Welcome to the forum.
Its been a while since I did that bottle or any bottles for that matter. Other things have taken priority this year so far, so I am going to have to just give you a general idea. As I recall it was an easy tumble. 4 or 5 days will usually get the job done without hurting the embossing.
Always better to undertumble it than to ruin a nice bottle.
I hope that helps you. Roy

My first cleaning job. I don’t know anything about tumbling, but my husband tumbles his brass. I will go to U Tube and Amazon. I offered to help and got hundreds of bottles. Some look like they just came out of the ground. Luckily, I love to do research. I just cleaned this lavender one.IMG_0512.jpeg
Thank You,
Katydave

Hi Katydave,
If you have hundreds of bottles and a good chunk are fresh out of the ground, lets just say its going to take you awhile. (Old Conn. saying-"Work expands to the amount of free time that you have.") ..Remember, you don't have to tumble every bottle.--Wider mouths are easier for a probe and scrubber. Every bottle is a little different when it comes to cleaning and experience is a great teacher. Btw, whoever you're doing this for owes you a big one. Good luck.

We are doing it for a good friend who past away recently. The $ will go to his son. He was worth it and I love to do research.
Thank you for your great advice,
Katy

Beautiful!!!! Congratulations!!! Where did you get it?
Thank you,
I bought this one at a bottle show. I think it was 8 dollars. I couldn't pass it up. I had never seen one like it before and thought it was certainly worth that price.
