Bottle Show Finds

Picked up a few things at the recent bottle show in the Toronto area.

I'm not much of a buy & sell guy when it comes to treasures; I typically just keep what I find, but sometimes things catch your eye and you're smitten! I'm a sucker for whittled glass, heavily bubbled glass, gravs & minty glass. The purple one was for the Missuss, as it's her fave colour.

No, it’s a gravitating stopper style closure. A chap named Matthews from New York patented the closure style in 1864.

Nice utility and jar behind it. Is that utility pontiled?

Regrettably no, but I’d wager it was just past the pontil era.
