Back in the early 80's, an old bottle digging friend from Lockport NY was showing me around his area,....There is pretty much flat terrain, except for what they call the escarpment,...It's somewhat like a steep rocky cliff... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niagara_Escarpment Anyhow,....He told me he had heard that sometimes bottles could be found there....We sat down to take a break and while we were b.s.ing, I looked down near my feet, and there was the neck of a Dr. McMunn's elixir sticking out between some rocks....( we had seen no other evidence of old glass anywhere)apparently it was left there generations ago by someone enjoying the view and a secluded spot to finish their opium? I'd never heard of the bottle back then,...but was vr. happy to find it. I still have it.
