It appears to me to be a tooled top bottle blown in a full height blowback mold regardless of the "faux" drip shown in picture 013. I'm not seeing a separately applied top. Otherwise there would not be a continuation of the pattern of slanted bubbles upward to the very top of the bottle, best seen in picture 015. Also, in the same picture, notice how the left inside wall of the glass follows the contour of the blob. The 1894-5 dates would substantiate this method of blow and finish. Still a great looking bottle. I like the scrolled panel and wouldn't comment on private or slug-plate without holding it in hand.

one major defiance between a privet and a slug pale bottle . privet molds used no slug plats as a rule.

I heard that the A.C one is a private mold, and I wish it was mine! It's owned by Charlie.

So is it a slug plate or a private mold? What was the final determination? Inquiring minds want to know.

*Wishes it were a private mold to salvage my investigations, but wants the truth.*
Here's another interesting thing yesterday arrived, too: 1828 English Bible.

Care to elaborate?
The site Bellwood Boys cited said, on that bottle's page, "....figure out if this was a slugplate or a private mold.." So, it's questionable. Hmmm..... Blurry.

Nice old Bible. I be liking verse 9. As far as your bottle goes, is the border consistently raised (like the embossing) above the surface of the bottle? Or does it seem to step slightly up and/or down from the surrounding surface of the bottle to that area enclosed by the border?
