Hi can anyone help me identify the bottle in the picture. I believe it may have been for ink as even when i got the sand out of it the sides were still blacked. The piece of pottery on the bottom left is a broken mug handle which should give an idea of scale. Its a difficult one to google as "price" returns a lot of wrong hits!

Nice looking piece, I'm wondering if it might not be related the the Price's Candle Comapny bottles that held Glycerin. Hopefully someone will know...

It would be great to see more and larger pics.....Jim

I agree with epackage, additional pictures would be great. That is a wonderful looking bottle, one of which I am sure I would be proud to own. It probably being British, I doubt I will know anything about it. Jim

Wow. Medicine comes to mind, I guess because of the bulge in the neck, like the Lake's and Simes. How tall is it? More pictures would be great when you have a chance.

Please give dimensions as well, and a photo of the base and lip. Very interesting looking bottle.

...although I think you're right about it probably being reused to store ink.

Welcome, I look forward to more information. Is the "mug" handle a "jug" handle (misspelled)? If so the size is more a cosmetic, perfume, dresser table type etc., perhaps a 20CM or less range. It would be nice to post the height, circumferences, color and such. I'm seeing clear lip and green form also.

I will measure precisely when i get home - but it is small - it stands about 4 inches tall. The reason the lip is clear and the rest is dark is due to the staining on the inside of whatever the conents were - it could be cleaned up until it was completely see through but I think it looks good with it still dark(it is also very difficulty to clean the inside as it is so small!)

I actually found a picture on my phone which will provide a better idea of size - will post a photo of the lip and base later
