I have a Meder & Zoon case gin bottle. It is clear and is 11" in height. Can someone help me with info / age / value? I was told it was rare in clear at 11".
Thanks, Joan

That's a cool bottle! No clue on value but it's definitely not very common to see glass seal case gins in clear. Age-wise I suspect right at the tail end of the case gin era, maybe around the turn of the 20th century. People usually assume that glass seals stopped being used much further back, but they were still occasionally used as a way of denoting a product as high quality and artisinal up until at least the 1910s if not later.

Thank you for your input. I've searched for one this size in clear but only found one that had a partial label ( I think it was a painted label, not paper) but could not see what it sold for. If anyone knows where I might be able to look up a value I would certainly appreciate it.

Do you have a link to that? I would be very interested to see what sort of painted label a bottle like that would have had. ACL labels weren't invented for another 40 years or so after this bottle was made. Did it look hand-painted?

I just went back and found the bottle with the partial label. Now that I was able to enlarge it, the label does appear to be paper.
