My brother found two of these bottles in a farm field in rural North Dakota. They are identical, both having an embossed cross on the face, and on the bottom it says "Root" in curly letters with the text "unlawful to refill". I learned that Root Glass Works was the original maker of Coke bottles in the 1900s-1910s, but these bottles say nothing about Coke on them. Can anyone help me find out more about these bottles?
