Dogo, sometime back there was a bottle on here that a person said that her grandmother had this bottle. It looked like a child in a basket and you stated you had heard it called "Moses in the Bullrushes" I thought it was a nursing bottle and you thought it was a nipper. Would you be so kind as to tell me where you heard the name of the bottle or read about it...Thanks, OMD

Sorry, but I don't remember where I heard that name. I have collected small figurals for many years and stories get mixed up sometimes.

Got ya on the mixed-up stories. Kinda like me falling for the $20,000.00 Dispensary Bottles.
From the Big Island of Hawaii only. These are all of the 7 up that I know of from our Island there could be more. All of the other Islands have their own 7 up bottlers. The first 4 bubble girls were bottled by Sunbrite, Hilo Hawaii the others were bottled by Seven Up, Hilo Hawaii. Where do I find the date on the bottom? Thanks for sharing all your valuable knowledge with us!!

Aloha, Robin

Those are awesome! My nephew just moved to Maui for a job. I don't have any from the Islands. Thanx for showing me. Yes the numbers on the bottom are indicators of the date and plant they were made at. Here is a cool site for that.

Hi Texkev,

I created a submission a few hours ago but as yet have not seen it posted ( I put a note to the Admins stating I believe I'd posted it in the wrong forum category - is there an issue with this post? Thanks.
I WAS READING SOME OF COMMENTS AND KEPT SEEING SOMETHING ABOUT YOU SELL BOOKS ON BOTTLES. HOW COULD I GET ONE. I COLLECT ORANGE CRUSH MAINLY BUT HAVE MANY OTHER BOTTLES. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW SCARCE THEY ARE OR WHAT THEY ARE WORTH, I JUST LIKE THEM.

Hi Icemangmc1947.... yes, I wrote the only book on the bottles of Orange Crush... 3 editions. It is available on Ebay, but if you write me directly, I will certainly give you a better price without their charges... the price is $C60.00 ($US47.00) and that includes postage, which alone is about $18.00, tracking, insurance.... my email is mrosman@sympatico.ca
Thanks, Michael
Hi Csa!
Congrats on your CRUSH book. When did it come out? Is it a price guide? I have a question in that area. I promise if I ever ask you another CRUSH question about bottle value I'll buy your (reasonably priced) tome. I have a blueish CRUSH acl in Arabic and English. I think it was made in the '60s. Maybe Egyptian. Great condition. Please, can you give me a ball park figure as to its value? Thanks. --CT Len

Hi Csa... The 3rd.ed. of my book is 2015. It is a complete (up to then) description of all and only, the Orange Crush bottles that I knew about at that time. It is not a price guide, although I have an extensive chapter on pricing... I do, with each bottle or group give a 'range' of value in the market. Price will be better than on Ebay, so if you are interested, email is mrosman@sympatico.ca

Hey Jstorm,

Got some info regarding the 3 tankards: George I 1714-1727, George II 1727-1760, and George III 1760-1820.

Now all you need is one matching hallmark. At least we're close to solving the mystery.

Just out of curiosity have you had any offers on them?
Hang in there.

I will tell you what I paid 15 years ago. I remember exactly where and when I bought them. 165.00 and thought I got screwed. Probably did but I wanted them. Thanks again for your time and knowledge. Jim
I can not believe you are the owner of three of the Rooster bottles. Is there any chance you would be willing to let one go? I read and saw the postings you put on this forum and I believe I have at least a Type 1 and a type 2...

Wanted to share a Dog bottle that I just picked up on eBay. The reason I bought this particular bottle is because of the crudeness. The neck is really stretched, and it has drippy glass running down the front almost into the dog. It has become my favorite of the dog bottles....!!!!

Hello Dewfus, I seen your post on the thread "Anyone digging in Indiana?" would you be willing to allow me to tag along on one of your digs? I am a newbie and would like to see someone dig up an actual bottle. I haven't had any luck recovering anything too old. The dump my husband and I have been allowed to root around in, is suppose to be a layer between pioneer days and the 60's.

I looked up South Bend on some old insurance maps and I am amazed at how big the place was even back then! We live in a ghost town (Westfall, Oregon) and have a large town dump which was bulldozed. We have permission from several farms to root around but again dump sites are shallow, spread out or bulldozed. I know there is a bottle out there somewhere for this curious digger. Thank you for your time. Trish
