Yup. Another mystery wish granted thanks to the bottle genies. Remember
that I said this would not come without some gnosis? New found knowledge.

Just before Nehi released an updated version of Chero-Cola to the public in
the form of Royal Crown Cola, a Nehi flavour was released by the Chero-Cola
Company of Columbus. Nehi Cola was so short lived that I have only seen one
bottle in 50 years and thousands of searches. It abruptly changed its name to
"NEHI THE BEST" but was still being manufactured by Chero-Cola. Even that
bottle is scarce...but I found one and it's on it's way. I think I'm done for now.

I'll quote my very specific wish...
'I wish that I could find a 9 oz Nehi bottle actually marked "Nehi Cola"'

Nehi was for kids. Caffeine was not. In Canada up until 2007, no light coloured
beverages were allowed to contain caffeine. As a kid, coffee and tea were for adults.
Kids drank pop. Frickin' genies again!

Speaking of wishes coming true...this one went right over my wife's head...

Her only wish is to go back to the cottage in the Opeongo Mountains.
Tried as I might I couldn't get one this year. They were all booked up
until next year at the least. She used to celebrate her birthday there
each and every summer. But not this year alas.

I received an email yesterday while I was waiting for my wife to get ready
for a family funeral. (It was also her birthday. What a mix! )The cottages may
have an availability next year for her birthday! Fingers crossed.

To my surprise, every attendee at the funeral had been to the same cottages
including her son who joined us at the last minute. No outsiders were
in attendance. They were all somehow connected by family. Just like us.

The eulogy talked about the treasured memories at the lake. The friends
and family all shared their cottages stories before and after the funeral.
There were even pictures of her and her family on the memory board.

What a hoot! The cottage came to my wife this year...on her birthday!
