I searched through the Antique-Bottles.net archives, as well as other internet sites, hoping to find some specific information regarding Big Chief acl soda bottles with images of states on them. And although I found some really neat discussions on Big Chiefs in general, I was unable to find anything that specifically focused on just the "state" ones. Of the dozen or so Big Chiefs in my collection, only two of them have painted images of states. One is of Texas, and the other is Louisiana. I know for certain there are at least two more ... Alabama and New Mexico. And even though I have found images of these two other examples, a total of four is all I could come up with.
I'm hoping that other members can help shed a little more light on this subject, and let me know if in fact there are other "state" Big Chiefs out there, and possibly share some photos and information with us. I will post the photos of the two I have, along with some basic information on them, and hopefully this will entice others to join the discussion. I would also be interested in knowing what might be the "Best of the Best" Big Chief books.
Thank you in advance for your time and interest.

This first bottle is from Gonzales, Texas ... 5 L G W 0 = 1950 ... Coca Cola Bottling Co. The red paint on the upper right is a little worn off, but overall in pretty good shape. I have discovered this is supposed to be a somewhat hard to find bottle, but I'm not 100% sure.
