Having difficulty figuring out the age of these jars. The first pic has one with the year only and the other has the Nov 30, just trying to figure out the difference. The second has the Ball logo of 1895-1896, is that correct? The third is a beautiful amethyst jar, seems early.
Thanks
Brian

I'd say they are all around the same age. 1890s-1900s. So yes you are right about the Ball logo. The other three jars could possibly be older, but I'm not sure. I don't think they would be any older than the 1860s. I hope this helps.

Sure does, much appreciated. Any thoughts on why they would put just the patent year on one and Nov 30 on the other?
Thanks
Brian

No, I'm not sure why they would do that. Most of the time they have the year and the Nov 30th. Maybe they decided it would be better if they shortened it?

By the way if I had to guess I would say the purple jar would be worth the most. Maybe $30-$100, but I could be wrong. I'm not really a jar expert.

The Mason's Patent 1858 is early 1900's. Many of them are embossed with either "Port" or "Ball" on the reverse.
Generally speaking, Mason's Patent jars with a ground lip date prior to 1900 and smooth lip after 1900. Not all glassmakers switched to machine made jars at exactly the same time, so the 1900 date is approximate. I would say any of the ground lip jars shown above would be 1870s - 1890s
