A new Dr Pepper for me!
46 years ago, on this day in 1978, Dr Pepper's summer promotion, the Most Original contest closed. The prizes were 25 cents, 10oz bottle or can, Beach Boys hit album 'Endless Summer', and two cars!...a restored 57 T Bird, and a 60 Corvette!

That's interesting, I can't remember ever seeing a contest before which offered prizes of twenty year old cars and a four year old greatest hits album. I guess 50s/60s nostalgia must have really been running high in 1978!

I can't think of one either that offered old restored cars!
