E B Shuttleworth Chemist Toronto Ontario bottle

found this bottle at a thrift store here oddly enough a week or so ago , have a couple druggist bottles from Toronto but don't really know much about this one. its a bit bigger than a normal druggist bottle and around 8' tall , its light purple in colour

embossed on it reads " E.B. Shuttleworth , Chem Coy, Trade Mark , Limited , Toronto " , on bottom marked " 801 "

That's some great embossing! The name rings a bell, I think Shuttleworth might have been one of those bulk medicine suppliers rather than a standard retail pharmacist.

that would make sense considering the size of the bottle and fact there seems to be a number of them around

E.B. Shuttleworth, among many things, was the founding dean of the Ontario College of Pharmacy, a practising retail druggist, chemical analyst and owner of a specialty chemical and drug supply house.
