Went digging today and found some good ones. Found my first whole bitters bottle" applied lip and makers mark igcol" . 3 blob walter ruapfer, and a Eastman bottle. Anyone know what bottle fragment with the r s co embossed is?

Cool little best ever club badge.

Thank you, dug it out pretty well but I think there are some more bottles to find just got to go deeper, never know unless you keep digging. The r s co bottle looks like the same shape as a paine's celery but slick on all sides and base.

I have a real neat root beer colored bitters (pretty sure anyhow) loaded with bubbles with all the sunken panels, etc, but with no embossing. I like the look so it's stayed on the shelf! Best ones are usually at the bottom so keep a goin'!

Congrats on yours first Bitters. The RS I'm positive I've seen many times but forgot what it was. Also pretty sure it's from Michigan. Leon.

Great find on those blob tops! I wonder what the Best Ever Club was.

The R.S. Co. was Hibbard's Rheumatic Syrup. https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/1880s-rheumatic-syrup-jackson-456986588 There's a great pictorial R.S. Co Rheumatic Syrup bottle from upstate New York, but I think yours is the Michigan one like Leon said, which has much plainer embossing. I'm not sure whether they were the same R.S. Co. or not, one might have been a knockoff of the other.

Their advertising sure wasn't plain though, they had no restraint when it came to that!

(That's the weirdest looking Sphinx I've ever seen!)

I always like looking at these ads. It might have been either a knockoff or actually from the company. I usually like to take fragments of bottles I haven't seen before or don't know what they are to try and find out what they are. Thanks for the reply.
