One gallon double handled -embossed rope design bottle

This bottle is dated on the bottom 1935,its an awesome looking bottle.I was also wanting some in on it the what it could be worth it is in excellent condition any help would be helpful-thanks.

There really aren't a lot of collectors for the 30's big stuff. Even the Whitehouse Vinegar gallon size are a tough sell. There may be an interior designer that has just the spot for it though.

its a cool jug,but it has no collectible value.it probably was a wine jug.

The bigger they are, not only the harder they fall, but also the harder it is to sell as it is harder to get a place to put it. But cowsEatMaize is right, an interior decorator could use it. Definitely a nice piece for them to get their paws on.

So Heather, I have been involved wit a lot of jug making at Thatcher Glass and I don't recall any double handled jugs. That would have been a tough bottle to make and get adequate glass to fill the handles properly. I can't imagine what shipping would cost, but I would sure like to study the seam lines to see if both handles were made in the neckring or in the parison mold. That is because I am a mechanical engineer that worked about 36 years involved in making glass products. RED Matthews
