I am not able to post pics because I can't figure out how to make them small enough to upload so I will describe to the best of my ability. I am brand new to bottle collecting although I have been interested for some time in older bottles. I found this at a resale shop for a dollar and am unsure exactly what I have. I think its a wine bottle, pre 1870 based on the pontil mark, no seams at all, the numerous air bubbles in the glass, the applied top. It is the very light green/aqua? color that was used back in those days and the prunt at the top of the body just under the neck of the bottle has two stars and what appears to be a lower case L or J, or possibly a capital I. It looks very similar to M.R. Francisco Underraga(Underrabba?) bottles made in the late 1800's but the design on the embossed prunt makes me think it's not their creation. Any ideas on what i have and possible value? If anyone has any tips on how i can reduce the file size on the pics to post them, thanks in advance!

how old would a jamestown repro be? from the few hours of reading i have done on this, the bottle i have has a number of signs of being pre 1900, and most of them point to pre-1870. I realize this is a possibility but are you basing it on the markings on the prunt? or more than that. If its the markings, is there any chance its an original versus a repro, because this bottle i have is almost certainly handblown and the numerous air bubbles make me wonder if its much older than 1870....i know i am new at this so any input is appreciated
