Stainless Dr Pepper

I have a glass Dr Pepper bottle. It was given to me when I was barely a teenager by my grandfather. What makes this bottle very odd is that it has a stainless steel hollow rod about 4" long that wound up bottled and caped on its way out of the Dr Pepper plant. The tube or rod was part of the filling process that must have gotten loose and dropped off. It has never been opened and still has a little fiz.
