All this bottle talk has given me cause to reflect. Bottles have truly changed my life.
My Dad and much of my family used to mock the "clink, clink, clink" of my botttle
collecting. Nobody collected bottles! They were meant to be brought back to the
store for deposit. But I persisted.

Bottles suddenly became far more valuable than their deposit. I was on the ground
floor of something very special; and I was just a kid! I would sell a bottle or two in
my day but always preferred to trade up. Bottles literally cost me nothing. I could
indulge in my love of antiquities without ever affecting the family budget.

Before long I was knee deep in the collecting world. Bottles came my way from far and beyond!
My collection grew exponentially and always improved with new knowledge and acquisitions.

Soon my interests broadened as I trekked far and wide in search for bottles. An ever growing
inventory allowed me to step up again. Blue jeans were particularly lucrative. Once again mere
dollars became thousands. I could travel farther and wider, and this I did.

Bottles became bottles and bluejeans! I was an aspiring musician with a need for better
instruments. They would have been beyond my reach had I not banked my bottle profits.

Much to my delight and surprise, these instruments that I so loved and enjoyed started getting pricy too. I kept the best of an ever growing collection and sold the rest. It's obscene to see the prices these days. I could afford to cottage at my childhood lake in the Opeongos again. Prices for cottages were ridiculous!

I always bring a few bottles with me when I go. I wear a bandana with my bluejeans too.
It's at that lake my childhood memories spring back to life. But that's another story.

I bet it does. I guess you can only miss something a certain amount. It sounds like you have had a very interesting and good life.
