Here's an example of a sand-chip pontil scar... These are sometimes quite subtle and difficult to recognize...

Yes, you may move to the head of the class. [;)] You are right about one thing... we are all still learning! 6 years ago, all I knew about bottles was that they were made out of glass, and I drank a lot of beer from them! LOL!! Kelley
