Yesterday on the drive home from work. I drove past a site where they were putting in footings behind an old building in town. The old building was once a saloon for one of the local brewerys. I decided to check out the site for glass and other items. To my surprise, one part of the site was littered with broken jugs, beer mugs, shot glasses, wine bottles, and other items. This area was about 40 feet from the back door, right in the middle of the new footings. I poked around and found a couple of intact bottles, nothing special. There is lots of dirt with lots of broken glass to explore, but daylight was fading fast.
When I was exploring the far West end of the dig site, I found some type of pottery jar laying in the mud, way away from the other broken glass. I am not sure what this really is, any ideas?
